AVI AND THE BADGER

Today is may 18, 2008. We are in Madison, Wisconsin. We spent last night in Madison at Brent's house who is a friend of Andy went the same college and lived in the same building for four years. All together went to a restaurant, grabbed spotted cow beer and wings. Thanks for Brent's for the hospitality.

Traffic was horrible when we drive from Chicago to Madison. We spent more than one hour driving bumper to bumper. Of course, this gave us time to take a picture of a church, Andy mentored kids on summer vacation when he was in college. I asked Andy what he exactly did. He was just telling them his life experience so that the kids see a role model. I believe that Andy is a real role model.

Wisconsin is known for American dairy. German Immigrants settled in Madison ( courtesy of Avi:-). The sausage, the cheese, the spotted local brewery are all in Madison. I tested the cheese and it tastes better. When I moved to USA from Ethiopia I didn't like the taste
of steak , juices and other food until I used to it. But the taste of steak in Wisconsin reminded me a similar kind of steak taste back in Ethiopia and enjoyed it a lot.

We visited down town Madison, the Capitol, and the Badgers Stadium. Madison is the capital of Wisconsin. It is a little bit a quite town. We also visited the University of Wisconsin where Isaac (x-coworker at ESE) went to College.

I realised there is intimacy between Avi and The badgers. I saw him many times taking pictures everywhere in Madison by the stadium, in a restaurant and everywhere we went (FYI-please see the pictures).Whenever we visit a park we have been playing freezbi and football. Today, Avi donated this foot ball to the Badgers. Go badgers !!!

Thanks for all of you guys who have been reading, commenting and looking pictures.
We are heading to further west. Keep you posted.
